Clients who sustained a Brain Injury is the count of clients that sustained a brain injury and received services from the Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program.

Data Source: Florida Department of Health, Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program
The data only contains clients that made it into an "In Service" status for a General Program - Adult or General Program - Pediatric case.
Data are based on county of residence.
The "Injury Date" is used for the date parameters and determines the date of the record that is returned.
A client may be counted more than once for multiple injuries in a given year.
Clients who sustained a Brain Injury include clients with only brain injury. Clients who sustained a Spinal Cord Injury include clients with only a spinal cord injury. Clients who sustained a Brain and Spinal Cord Injury include clients with a dual injury.
All population-based rates are calculated using July 1 Florida population estimates from the Florida Legislature, Office of Economic and Demographic Research.
