Deaths From Hodgkin's Disease

Hodgkin's Disease, (also known as Hodgkin's lymphoma), is a type of lymphoma, a cancer originating from white blood cells called lymphocytes. It was named after Thomas Hodgkin, who first described abnormalities in the lymph system in 1832.

Cancer is a leading cause of death in the United States and Florida. Looking at death and incidence rates of the different types of cancers helps inform us about the impact of lifestyle as well as the effectiveness of screening and treatment.

In 2021, the age-adjusted rate per 100,000 population of Deaths From Hodgkin's Disease (All) in Alachua County was 0.5 compared to Florida at 0.2. Since the oldest age at death varies, an ending age of 999 is used to retrieve all records up to and including the oldest age.
